We recognize that great talent knows great talent, and we want to ensure our team members are recognized and rewarded competitively for referring future team members to Centerspace.
Team members should obtain permission from the individual before making a referral, share their knowledge of Centerspace, and not make commitments or oral promises of employment. Team members whose referrals are selected for hire will be eligible for a referral bonus in accordance with Centerspace’s Team Member Referral Policy. This policy may vary based on the hiring market, region, or position.
Program Details:
Team Member Referral Bonus is $1,000, with $500 payable at one month of employment and $500 payable at 6 months of employment, and team member is responsible for applicable taxes.
The Referral Bonus will be paid out to the referring team member once the referred team member has been employed with Centerspace for the required length of time.
Both the referring team member and the referred team member must be actively employed at the time of payout in order to receive the referral bonus. If the referring team member is on Leave of Absence at time of payout, the referral bonus will be issued upon the team member’s return to active employment status.
All candidates must apply through the online portal and list the team member that has referred them to the role on the application.
Team leaders are eligible to receive the bonus when referring team members to properties and/or departments other than their own.
Team members whose employment is being reinstated under the Bridge of Service policy and are being rehired within 90 days of their termination date from Centerspace are not eligible to be referred under this program.
When a referring or referred team member’s employment is terminated due to a position elimination, reduction in force, or due to a property sale, they will be eligible for Referral Bonus payout upon termination if they are employed in good standing through the employment termination date as designated by Centerspace.
Centerspace team members at Director level or above, or who otherwise have influence or decision-making authority in the hiring decision, are not eligible for the referral bonus.
Centerspace reserves the right to adjust this program when filling challenging positions or in particularly competitive markets.
