1. Ledger Best Practices:
Be mindful of charges and descriptions: Residents can view the ledger with descriptions on their portal
Use accurate residential charge codes: Use the specific code, for example: Pet Deposit vs Non-Refundable Pet Fee vs Pet Rent
Adjustments:
Incorrect charges should have a Support Ticket entered to Reverse and/or Reapply
Waiving or adjusting: Use the same charge code and clear/professional descriptions
The ellipsis will allow you to take action such as exporting and updating display settings including display density, customizing columns, and shading alternate rows.

2. Review a resident's ledger: A resident’s ledger shows all transactions associated with the lease such as charges, credits, and payments.
Navigate to the resident profile > General > Ledger.
Use the search field to reduce the transactions to review.
The Control Number hyperlink is generated to track the details of the transaction that recorded the charge or received payment.
4. Review unpaid charges: A resident’s unpaid charges screen shows all outstanding charges associated with the resident.
- Navigate to the resident profile > General > Ledger > Unpaid Charges.
5. Review pending payments: A resident’s pending payments screen shows payments associated with the resident in batches that have not yet been posted.
- Navigate to the resident profile > General > Ledger > Pending Payments.
6. Post a charge: Create a one-time charge for a fee, credit or prorated rent by following the process on the QRG – CRM IQ – Posting a Charge.
