CRM IQ - Adding a Guarantor to an Application
This QRG will walk you through how guarantors should be added to applications. They can be added in two ways, so carefully review each option below.

Applicant adding a Guarantor during the application -
1. During the application, a guarantor can be added as an additional applicant under step 5: "Additional Applicants". Once added, the guarantor will be sent an invitation to complete their application including ID Verify, reviewing and signing a copy of the rental criteria, and their Guarantor Agreement. Once this is all complete, any pending payments will need to be completed and the application can be submitted.

Use the steps below to add a guarantor after the application has been submitted.
1. Navigate to the "Roommates" tab in the lefthand column and then select "Add new person".
2. Enter in the guarantor's information including full name, phone number, and email. Make sure the "Adult" option is selected. Once all information has been confirmed as accurate, select "Create New Customer and Add as Roommate".
- Be mindful there is a toggle between "Simple View" and "Standard View". The differences are below for reference.
3. Another pop up will appear. In this pop up, select the "Relationship" drop down and choose "Guarantor". Make sure that the "Lessee" toggle is turned off. (See photo below for reference). Click "Save" to add the Guarantor onto the applicant profile.
4. Now the guarantor is added as a roommate, they will need to be invited to RentCafé to complete their portion of the application. On the "Roommates" page, select the tab labeled "RentCafé". Once in this tab, select "Invite to RentCafé" to send the Guarantor their application.
5.Next, the application fee for the Guarantor will need to be charged manually. Expand the "Applicant Workflow" menu in the left hand column. In that menu, select "All Charges". On this page, select "Create Charge" to add the charge. Fill in the charge code, cost of the application fee, and notes. Select "Save" to add the charge. The applicant or guarantor will now be able to see and pay this charge in their online portal.
- Before adding the charge, ensure that the application charges are accurate.
