If your computer is connected to a docking station with multiple monitors, you may need to change the settings on your computer so that you can use each monitor in the format that you prefer. If you're seeing the same thing on each monitor/laptop screen, follow the steps below to resolve it.
1. Right click anywhere on the desktop and click display settings
2. The default settings should be set to duplicate the display which will show the same thing on all monitors. To change the setting hit the dropdown where it says duplicate display and change to Extend display on monitor x and monitor y.
3. Hit the identify button to identify all your monitors as shown in the system display box. In the example below, there are 3 different monitors labeled 1,2, and 3.
4. Whichever monitor you want to be your main screen (the one with all your desktop icons) you can click on that monitor that was identified from step 3 and check the box "make this my main display"
5. The mouse will move in the order of your monitors from left to right so if you want to change the way the mouse moves you can re-arrange the order by dragging the monitor boxes around and hitting apply to save the changes. From the picture in step 4 as an example - the mouse can be moved from monitor 1 > monitor 2 > monitor 3 (left to right)
NOTE: If your laptop lid is open, the system will treat it as a third monitor. If you have 2 monitors and a laptop and the laptop lid is closed you will only see 2 monitors in the display settings.
