The equipment issued to team members is to be used for company business and belongs to Centerspace.  It is expected that reasonable care be taken when operating company property so as to be able to return it in good operating condition upon termination or transfer to another Centerspace location.  The following list includes examples of company property:

  • Keys
  • Key card/FOB
  • Security system alarm codes
  • Credit card
  • Mobile phone
  • Laptop
  • Parking remote
  • Manual
  • Uniforms
  • Equipment
  • Accessories included with the product such as chargers, batteries, etc. 

Team members are not permitted to lend keys or other issued property to another team member or any other person.  In addition, if team members are no longer in need of any of the items it is expected that they will report this information and return the items to their manager.  Team members are expected to immediately report any damaged, destroyed, or lost items to their manager.  

Team members may be responsible for the value of the equipment if it is damaged, destroyed, or lost.  If a key or fob is not returned, the cost to re-key the office and/or the communities affected by the lost key will be the team member’s responsibility to reimburse to Centerspace.  Team members may also be responsible for additional charges such as overage for cell phones. 

Team members who do not comply with these provisions may have access to company property revoked and may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
